Parramatta Gaol Heritage Restoration

HERITAGE RESTORATION

Parramatta Correctional Centre (formerly Parramatta Gaol) is a heritage-listed former prison in Sydney’s west.

This unique project was a restoration of the full interior and balcony of the Education Building on the grounds of Parramatta Gaol. Over a 6-month project schedule the restoration was completed in stages including polished cement flooring, an upgrade to the staircase with custom Tallowwood treads, restoring the existing hardwood heritage floors, installation of new plumbing, and painting throughout the building.
